Day 1 for me on the detox...

Hi all, today starts day one for Darren and I on the Detox and Elim diet (I’ll refer to it as DED from now on).
Darren is doing a modified version. This is it: No soy, gluten, corn, eggs, refined sugar, animal product or dairy. This is a HUGE leap for him! And for those of you that wish to modify in such a way, please do.
I’ll tell you what, doing a few weeks of a simple vegan diet can be highly beneficial; giving your liver and digestion a much needed break.
So for those of you on the fence about doing this diet, please give it a try. Make it work for you.
OUr breakfast:
Darren had fresh berries and nuts
Tif is having a green smoothie with kale, cabbage, parsley and green apple
Lunch is rice and beans for Darren and steamed veggies with brown rice for me.
One is the best things about this diet (I dislike that word, but I can’t think of a better one to use right now) is that you can really make it an awareness practice. Take these next few weeks to be really present with your food. Give thanks for it and enjoy.
